    4. Sonia says:

A light, easy read for second graders and younger. My student loved this story for the pictures and the ghosts Even though he thought some of it was way to exaggerated.Personally, I thought it was way too boring This book should be read to a first grader or someone in esl I honestly think that kids shouldn t be so babied when it comes to reading They should be reading in depth stories. This book was a small predictable story.

    5. Finn says:

I can t believe that light destroyed them because in reality when you take the light off the shadow is still there.

    6. Debra says:

I can t wait until my grandson gets into these books They are so much fun Yes, the plots are predictable, but the characters are slowly evolving The friends in the Monster Squad find out that Nikki is really a monster vampire and what is with the antlers that appear on Rip s shadow Is there some connection between those shadow antlers and Rip that we will find out about in future books.

    7. Michelle says:

    15. Erin says:

Book 3 in the series This series is wonderful for reluctant readers or those that are just bridging to chapter books My kindergarten son LOVES them, so they work well for younger kids, too I would say the books are not too terribly formulaic, there was enough in this one that kept it fresh and interesting to both of us as we read each night at bedtime.

    16. Tanja says:

Layout is pretty appealing for early chapter book readers as well as the idea of a club of monster chasers But somehow I didn t get drawn into the story curious to see how our students will react to the story.

    17. Liz Hoffman says:

My son is really into these books lately As a 2nd grader, he could read them on his own.but, he s letting me come along for the ride These Notebook of Doom books have just the right amount of scary for his age group.

    18. Christine Crawford says:

My 8 year old loves this series so I picked one up out of curiosity It s nothing special but is fast moving, lots of pictures and not scary enough to be really scary Perfect for kids starting to read chapter books and reluctant readers.

My 6 year old loves reading The Notebook of Doom There are 4 books in the series published to date I hope they publish .

    24. Jnase1 says:

These books read like an eight year old wrote them They jump around too much and are difficult to follow I think the idea is fun, but the writing needs work.

      the best love it

    26. Rebekah says:

My son loves this series of books He doesn t like reading but these stories have captivated him He would give it 5 stars I find the book fun and entertaining but for me that is all it is.
