      Enjoyable Extra points for the elephant in the garden and the two ladies cleaning the chandelier Good set pieces I think is what I am trying to say.

      Both amusing and moving, I very much enjoyed this Margaret, the protagonist, is a curiously passive and insular character and it is hard to reconcile her to a woman who ran away to be a maharajah s mistress but I found her story engaging and the resolution satisfying.

      A good story, about a woman with an adventurous life in India, coming to terms with her past and relationship with her parents.
