There are really only two reasons to read this book you are into porn or you have an interest in the swingers scene which I suppose mean you are almost certainly into porn anyway Neither of course apply to me, I read it purely for research reasons But there is actually a third reason to read the book, and what attracted me to it, and that is the concept Just as we were intrigued that a normal essex housewife authored 50SOG, it s not every day someone writes their memoirs detailing their sexual a [...]

FIRST TANGO IN PARIS is a real life, sexual adventure into the swingers lifestyle that spans over a 10 year period So, as long as you know what you are getting into, you should have a pleasurable experience. As a female who leaves the kink and partner swapping strictly to the pages of my erotic novels, I am always intrigued by the real life characters who actually live it and make it work.Author, Emma Styles, gives the reader an interesting and sometimes outrageous account of her life as part of [...]

    3. Dana Delamar says:

3.5 stars An entertaining read the author has certainly lived quite an interesting and adventurous life I would have enjoyed this if the story had been told in a different manner As it is, it s essentially just someone sitting down and telling you about their adventures While certainly not dull, the stories don t always come to life, and many of the characters in them start to blend together because you get little sense of who they are beyond their sex lives I also would have loved insight int [...]

    4. Lucie Paris says:

If you ususally read some chaste and pure Harlequin s romances, beware you may have a heart attack while reading Emma s adventures Lol Very well written, this story is the testimony of a woman who fully accepts and assume her sexuality Her journey is explicitly told So, this novel is not to put in everyone s hands and is reserved to an informed public One who will be eager to read the text with an open mind and will not be to prompt to judge but appreciated the quality of style, the tone and the [...]

    5. C.D. Foxwell says:

This is the story of a decade of sexual discovery by the author, Emma Styles At the very start of the book she is a fairly innocent wife and mother, but very quickly she and her husband find their lives transformed by a trip to the sex shops and elegant sex clubs of Paris The reader gets to soak up the juicy details of Emma s many adventures in different, fascinating clubs, mostly in Paris She fraternises with the great and the good of France TV stars, sports people and even a retired diplomat, [...]

I was intrigued by this autobiographical territory As a writer I read a lot of diverse genres Erotica is one that is difficult to write than most would believe This book was different It was a true story A recollection of ten years of experimentation and pushing to new boundaries What I found in these pages was a reality much rich in erotic behavior than any fictional erotica I have read Following Emma through her happenstance introduction to a different world operating in the heart of Paris a [...]

Well Where do I begin Ms Styles memoir is so deliciouslydecentlyfascinatinglyank. To truly read and enjoy this work one must approach it with a completely open mind and if you are in any way prudish then this book is definitely not for you. This is a first hand account of a wife and mother as she is drawn into the sublimely hedonistic lifestyle of swinging and covers the years roughly 1990 to 2000 Stylish, beautifully detailed prose takes you effortlessly around the clubs and venues of Paris and L [...]

    8. Nicky says:

There is no doubt that some of the sex in this book is erotic but after half way it just gets repetitive and messy The author seems to take great pleasure in telling us how she experiences a g spot orgasm every time with lots of squirting and gushing, I got turned off by this It would have benefited from a good proof reader because it is littered with spelling, grammar and punctuation errors and I have to admit I didn t warm to the author, everything in her life was so amazing and fantastic and [...]

An intertesting read following the authors sexual adventures in Paris ove a ten year period Her experiences of various risque clubs, her foray into web marketing with her french compatriots who have developes various lines of erotic lingerie and her association with various characters both in France and the UK A very erotic read that takes us into an underground that encompasses her visits to places that few of us will ever venture into If you want something different that will pique your curiou [...]

This was incredibly hot Memoirs aren t normally my thing, but Emma asked me to read it and I m glad I did I was warned it isn t for the feint hearted and I whole heartedly agree But it s an incredible recollection of some of the sexiest, steamiest and most erotic scenes I ve ever read, and should no doubt be read by people wanting to experiment, and I think this will be helping a fair few couples ignite their sex lives The fact that it s written from experience shows its both healthy and accessi [...]

If I were to rate this book purely in terms of literary competence, I d probably consider it no than okay It s not an achievement in terms of style and language, there are avoidable grammatical errors etc. What renders it well above average, however, is the scenario and the agency Emma Styles is a self confident woman who owns her sexuality instead of sticking to traditional gender roles, and this factor renders her adventures in the Parisian swinger scene WAY better than what meets the eye.

    12. Susan says:

I have to assume this author of this book has got some pretty nasty venereal diseases to treat so hopefully she s made a bit of money from sales which won t have to go to any editors as there s obviously less of them around than any condoms were for the shagging I find it amazing there is no mention of safer sex in any of this book, well not in the bits I read anyway

    13. Janet says:

Read this about three months ago What can I say hhmmmm would have benefited from a good proof reader, some overlooked errors in there which was quite off putting Other than that, okay I guess
