I was lucky enough to get my hands on an advanced copy of The Plague Diaries I took my time with this book, savoring each word Being the last book in the trilogy, I didn t want it to end I was touched by the sensitivity of the characters and delighted to revisit the Guardians way of life which was first introduced in The Mapmaker s War The plague that these characters must endure is unlike any I could have imagined This final book of the Keeper of Tales Trilogy has left my heart full.I recommend [...]

Sometimes a book, or in this case a trilogy of books, is so personally relevant to me that I am almost overwhelmed with wonder Then it becomes difficult to write about it in a way that I feel alright about sharing with others I will do my best here. The Plague Diaries is the last in Ronlyn Domingue s Keeper of Tales Trilogy, in which she ties together all the aspects found in the first two books and takes her tale to a conclusion so satisfying, so appropriate to what has gone before I think she m [...]

Ever get to the end of a really great series and desperately want to read the last book, but not want to at the same time because you don t want it to end That was me with this book I knew it would be great, and it was even better than I thought, but I feared turning that last page because I knew once I did I would feel a bit lost Now what am I going to read that will be this good In this final book of the series, a lot of things have happened that will make the reader want to find out There s [...]

Brilliant and loving and satisfying, but no smarmy wrap things up pretty 3rd book bs It s been awhile since I read the first one, plan on rereading the series now Anyone with a love of fantasy magical realism, and a deep Mother wound, would love this.

This is the final book in the Keeper of the Tales trilogy I have read these three books as they have come out starting in 2013 and if you have not read them yet you are so very lucky to be able to read them back to back to back If, like me you have been awaiting this book well, your long wait is over I so want to start from the beginning now and read them ALL over again Can you tell I love these books And I am not usually a fan of this genre of book.In The Plague Diaries Secret Riven learns of h [...]

    7. Viviane Crystal says:

Secret Riven is no longer advertising her magical powers Instead she has become somewhat of a self educated scholar who works as an archivist in the magnate Fewmany s offices This is not your local library, but rooms and rooms of books in every possible subject, including books and objects to do with magic, sorcery, legends, myths, etc The formerly very close relationship between Secret and Nicholas the Prince has changed with their separation, something Secret doesn t realize until they meet ag [...]

This is a hard one to rate.I REALLY liked the first book in this series. The second, I did not care for much at all I still can t decide if she made Secret so unlikeable by accident or by design in that one and most of this one. This one there were parts I liked a lot, and parts I did not So I averaged it out to 3 stars. The good The actual plague diary excerpts were really good, and I wish the whole book had been written in that way.The fact that Secret finally worked through some of her shit was [...]

I ve read and enjoyed and reviewed all four of Ms Domingue s novels.I felt as though the second book The Chronicle of Secret Riven really needed a sequel, and here it is The difficulties of wrapping up a trilogy must be enormous, but she s done a great job All the threads she started in the second book are effectively picked up, amplified and made complex, which is a great thing and then finally resolved And material from The Mapmaker s War is effectively threaded in also.As always, Domingue ha [...]

This is the final book in this trilogy I am a little sad to see it end Yet, excited to see what the author comes out with next When I first read, The Mapmaker s War, I could not read the book fast enough The main character was great yet, it was the world that I enjoyed the most That did not change in the second book, The Chronicle of Secret Riven, and it did not stop in this final book A location can help bring a story together and transport a reader The second book kind of sets the stage for th [...]

I loved the first two books of this trilogy but I could not for the life of me get into this one It felt like work I got about 25% of the way in and had to leave it Maybe I ll try it again some day for the sake of finishing the trilogy but it was disappointing.
