This was short and sweet It follows a woman named Lana who s daughter Robin is attending a band practice Lana is a lesbian woman recently out the closet, and she falls for Robin s band teacher, who s a butch lesbian I think this was so cute, I loved that it was so tender and fluffy and positively represented older lesbian woman The romance was really nice and I think this would be an amazing book if it was longer I also liked that there was such good friendly interactions between Lana and her ch [...]

    3. Tara says:

Fearless might be a short story, but it does a good job of letting us know who each of the characters are, especially Mel, Lana, and Lana s daughter Robin They re likeable, relatable, and Lana and Mel are very sweet together.Full review thelesbianreview fearl

    4. Corrie says:

Fearless is an adorably sweet little novella I loved main character Lana Novak, a band mom accompanying her teenage daughter and clarinet whiz Robin on a 3 day music competition When she meets cute, butch orchestra director Melanie Mel Feinberg she can t help but develop a full blown crush And then they get snowed in at the hotel. My second Shira Glassman story today and I really enjoyed this one It s sweet, well written, heartwarming short story about two women in their early 40ies sharing their [...]

    7. Cat Sebastian says:

Snowed in f f Both MCs are about 40, and one of them presents as a bit butch, which is something I m always happy to see in romance Very low angst Has some beautiful writing, including the line kissing in her native language, which just stopped me in my tracks it s so lovely.

    8. Jennifer Linsky says:

The only way this could have been better is if it were longer Adult women falling in love with each other at a hotel during a blizzard Sign me up for that weekend retreat

    9. J.L. Douglas says:

A short, satisfying romance about the connection between a teacher and a band mom during their time snowed in at a hotel.WHAT I LOVED Great dialogue Every character feels real, from the main romantic leads to the main character s daughter to the other mothers in the group Everyone sounds like someone you d hear out in the real world, and most of the time I just nodded at everything everyone was saying The chemistry between the main characters Lana and Mel have a really believable, immediate conn [...]

    10. Adiba Jaigirdar says:

This was very short, sweet, and fluffy I really liked the way Lana and Mel s relationship develops Even though it happens over the course of a very short story, it s pretty natural and feels realistic. My only complaint might be that at the beginning there are a lot of names for a lot of characters so I was lost trying to figure out who was who But I eventually got the hang of the most significant characters.

    11. Marianne (Boricuan Bookworms) says:

3.5 starsShort and sweet Really cute I just wish it could have been longer, to see of the relationship.

    12. M. Hollis says:

A sweet and short read about a newly out gay mom getting a crush on her kid s teacher If this didn t sell this story to you already, I don t know what else will Fearless is exactly the kind of lesfic I love to read.If you want to spend half an hour reading a super cute F F story, I definitely recommend this one.

    13. Iben says:

This little story made me smile It also made me slightly hungry with the food similes Shira Glassman s language is so poetic and just damned wholesome, I enjoy every moment of being in her universe.

    14. Caisin says:

i ve been looking for books to read that have a romance between older queer women i love how many ya books have been coming out with wlw main characters, but i m 31 now and it s not as easy to get invested in a teen romance as it used to be this one really hit that spot i ve been looking for honestly, the only thing i wish was different is that it was longer it was wonderful to read about a lesbian who came out later in life and the challenges this created for her when it came to finding commun [...]

    15. C.B. Lee says:

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE A sweet morsel of a novella, you ll absolutely fall in love with band mom Lana as she crushes on Mel during a snowed in music competition Filled with lush longing and all the wonderfulness of remembering skills in music, Fearless is a lovely, heartwarming piece.

    16. Samantha says:

Another cute example of sweet f f candy from Shira Glassman Reading it is like eating ice cream or chocolate, maybe This story is very low key, with realistic dialogue and enough vivid little details to remind me of my days in symphonic band It was nice to see an example of a teen relying on medication to succeed too something many teens experience, but few like to talk openly about I was very glad to read about older women finding love, while still maintaining a sort of youthful confidence and [...]

    17. A.M. Leibowitz says:

What a great story I love music, and the setting brought back my own memories of playing in those big events Mercifully, we never got snowed in I loved the chemistry between Mel and Lana, and I loved the promise of something for them beyond their weekend trapped in the hotel with the kids Excellently written, a combination of sweet and fun.

    18. Aleksandra says:

This was cute I don t often read romance novellas about two sapphic 40 year old women It was lovely.

    19. ms bookjunkie says:

Very cute Sweet Short Happy making happy sigh

    20. Louise says:

3.5Fearless is a very cute short story. The main characters Mel, Lana, and Lana s daughter Robin come to life very quickly and are each relatable in their own way I especially liked the narrator, Lana There are a whole host of background characters too only really mentioned in passing but Glassman does a good job of giving even the minor characters distinct personality traits.Music, and love of music, is a central theme of the story I m not musical Like, at all So this perhaps didn t resonate wit [...]

    21. Clara says:

Many of Shira Glassman s stories are about a character finding their courage and learning to take a step forward Sometimes, it s about a young woman learning how to become a queen to her people And, sometimes, it s about a mother learning to flirt with women after almost forty years of living in the closet. This is a simple, understated story about everyday bravery, about someone finally finding her voice back after decades of burying it It s a hopeful and adorable and very laid back romance and [...]

    22. Amy Aelleah says:

Fuffy and short, exactly what I was looking for at the time. One of the things I really loved about this book is how it s an older romance The main character is in her early forties and, as she said, came out less than a year ago And I love the question that brings to my mind and can t help but think I would have loved for this story to be a little longer and a lot in depth Regardless cute.

    23. Smote says:

CuteA cute story but overkill by far on the cliche analogies which really pulled me out of the story I really enjoyed Knit One Girl Two so I suspect going back to an earlier work was a little jarring I did appreciate that it was focused on two older women as I often feel many queer fic books are centered around high school and college age people so this was a nice change of pace.

    24. Kronda says:

This story reminds me of all those lesbian movies where the lonely soft butch lesbian meets a soccer mom or orchestra mom and they fall for each other. It turns that on its ear, just a bit, by having both moms be out, and the kids interested in their happiness So good on that, it s sweet and fluffy in the heartwarming sense.

    25. Laura says:

The relationship felt a little sudden in terms of they ve only really met and flirted over this weekend But it also sounds like they ve been on each other s fringe community because Robin is in the wind instruments and Mel teaches string Soft and sweet, enjoyable little story, but didn t hit me as strongly as Knit One did.

    26. Tonks says:

Lovely This was my first time reading Shira Glassman and I don t know why I waited so long It was cute and fluffy and made me grin from beginning to end The literary equivalent of a hot drink on a cold day Now I want to pick up my own long forgotten instrument.

    27. Marty Preslar says:

A wonderful short storyAs a parent who frequently misses his days as an active musician, this story resonates with me quite well The sweet romance story is a nice plus.

    28. amber aaron says:

The lesbian musician romance I have wanted for my entire life.A blessing Please read this It s fluffy and light and fun and sweet What could you want

    29. Frida says:

Short and sweet and maybe a little bit ridiculous the snowed in part sorry I can t take it seriously I m Finnish.

    30. Karen says:
