      This is a humorous contemporary realistic fiction story about a girl that longs for attention and wants a ridiculous gift for her birthday Young readers would enjoy this story because they can relate to the sibling bickering rivalry in the story The intended age group is intermediate 8 12 years old I gave the story 4 stars for the humor and creativity the author used The illustration on the cover is quite simple and to the point.

      Another nice story I probably would have thought of this book except I can t help but compare it to 11 Birthdays, since both characters are celebrating their birthdays and both books could not make the list There is a definite audience for Sophie Hartley books and I would definitely be happy to recommend them.

      I thought that wanting a gorilla was kind of weird, but getting a kitten was adorable I could see it fast asleep and purring softly in my mind So cute I lived the detail
