This is one of those that s good, no that s bad scenarios One Christmas Eve Santa found himself in one situation or another The reader thinks that s good but the narrator says, no that s bad Then it goes from bad to good, from good to bad, and so on Poor Santa had a very mishap filled night delivering presents.

    5. Laurie says:

Kirkus Reviews September 15, 2009 Cuyler continues her That s Good That s Bad series with this Christmas themed offering focusing on Santa s travel tribulations and delivery difficulties On each double page spread, one step of the Christmas toy delivery process takes place with a seemingly positive effect or, alternatively, Santa suffers some minor mishap such as getting stuck in a chimney After each plot point, the repeated refrain of the title or its reverse form makes readers see that proble [...]

Santa has a pretty eventful night after a blizzard causes him a delay One good and bad thing after another happen to Santa as he tries to deliver presents to all the boys and girls But the things you think are good aren t quite what they may seem, and sometimes the bad things turn out to be good Kind of like in life Cute illustrations although Santa isn t as jolly or kindly looking as I would expect He must be under a lot of stress with so many things going wrong in one night.

    8. Nielson says:

Santa s journey is full of surprises this year On his way to deliver presents he encounters a snowstorm, slippery roofs, skinny chimneys, ripped pants and he is one accident prone Santa This was a cute book, but the Oh, that s bad No, that s good part interrupts the flow and doesn t make sense The illustrations make it worth the read though they are fantastic EL OPTIONAL Whitney, Library TeacherLabels EL, picture book, optional

    9. Shanshad Whelan says:

It appears that this book wants to pattern itself after a zen tale where what first appears to be good luck is bad luck, and bad luck winds up being good luck depending on the circumstance Problem is, this doesn t really work The story makes no sense and despite the comical artwork fails to deliver.

    10. Angie says:

Meh For as much fun as the first one That s Good That s Bad is this one was just sub par Won t be using it in any stories or lessons this season.

    11. Deborah says:

It s a fun Christmas version of the reversal story what seems to be good turns out to be bad and vice versa but this one has some stretches in why something is good or bad Still, it s a story that has Santa splitting his pants, so it has to be fun, right

    18. Sarah says:

The Good Bad thing did not really work.
